  • Microstructure of liquid phase sintered material is more rounded by enhanced diffusivity. It may also lead to the reverse case if the liquid content is low: some regions gain boosted growth and others don’t.
  • Driving force: surface energy minimization. Application of external pressure helps not only in increasing driving force but also in kinetics.
