Idempotent

  • Last time we defined nilpotent. Now we explore a related concept, which is \(\textrm{Idempotent}\): An element \(e\) such that \(e^2 =e\) holds.

Split-Semisimple Commutative Algebras

  • Commutative \(\mathbb{K}\)-Algebra that is isomorphic as an algebra to a product of copies of \(\mathbb{K}\).
  • It does not contain any non-zero nilpotent elements.
