Arrival by Denis Villeneuve is a beautifully movie. The movie is colored by strong performances, especially by Amy Adams who leads throughout. Its best to go into this film without knowing much about the plot.

This movie also provided strong motivation to study Linguistics, Natural Language Processing and Neuroscience. Oh! How can I forget mentioning the dramatic background score, especially Max Ritcher’s On the Nature of Daylight.
