Why are we afraid of death? Why do we have to rationalize it? Why do we have this bias? All we do in this life trying to collect things, gain things, accumulate. The Self keeps growing and we call that achievement. It’s a really simple game. Starting with nature, everything is one. There’s no struggle, no conflict because everything is one. Now the division of superiority created by thought separates humans from nature, here starts conflict. Then there’s further division by creation of self identities. More conflict. Then thought creates a million other meaningless ideals, notions, concepts. We believe we are all separate, important untill death comes and proves us wrong. We were and are and always will be the same. The same nothingness that we came from, the same nothingness which is not the word but something that thought cannot capture by definition. In that nothingness there was no pain no joy no duality, no concept and hence everything was one, fulfilled in itself. You see life is just a game we play. As kids when we got bored, there was nothing to do so one decided to pretend to be a cop and the other to be a thief. Then the entire game was played and when it ended again there was nothing to do. All our lives we pretend to be something or the other- in my case I’m pretending to be Som, you’re you but essentially beyond these faces, we’re both the same. We believe we’re incomplete, there’s some meaning, we need to achieve something, we need to catch the thief or run from the cop but that’s just an act. If you knew it was an act you wouldn’t play so you need to keep believing that you’re really that person. Every morning we wake up and tell ourselves this is me and this is what I should be doing. That’s just the game.

In fact everything in the universe itself is a whole one. There’s no division. At the end of the universe we will see it. Everything will go back to being one thing. So death is not bad, it’s not an escape, it just takes us back to who we really are. At the end no matter how much you earned, how much you enjoyed or suffered through life, how much you were appreciated or frowned upon, you go back to being perfect as you always were. That’s Death, if you felt incomplete, death will make you complete, if you felt injustice, death will give you justice. Death shows every person who they really are, if you don’t see the truth that you are nothing, death will show it to you. That’s the only truth there is. We were and always will be onething.
